Cais da Oliveira ****

Hotel Cais da Oliveira is located on the south coast of Madeira, in the center of Caniço de Baixo, on a cliff overlooking the sea in a small sheltered bay. The quiet sun terrace with pool and pool bar leads directly to the sea. So the Hotel Cais da Oliveira in Caniço de Baixo is ideal for sun worshipers. Sunbeds, umbrellas and beach towels can be used free of charge on the large sun terrace. In the restaurant Lee Hamilton, which is located directly at the hotel, you can eat very well with a beautiful view of the sea. The terrace of the Lee Hamilton is fantastically located directly above the cliffs of Caniço de Baixo. A bus to Funchal stops nearby.

Hotel Roca Mar ****

At the 4-star Roca Mar Hotel in Caniço de Baixo, the ocean is at your feet. The hotel is perched in a breathtaking position over the Atlantic and offers postcard-ready panoramas.
The main house and the two outbuildings were architecturally very charming terraced built in the rocky coast. Via stairs you reach through the garden various sunbathing plateaus together with a small swimming pool and direct access to the sea. Another plus is the offer of the neighboring hotel Royal Orchid (as Health Club or Pool, see below), which are also available to you.
Three times a day (from Monday to Saturday) you can take the free hotel bus to Funchal. The bus stop is only a few minutes walk away. From there regular buses take you to Funchal and the surrounding area. There are bars and restaurants in the area, as well as a small supermarket.
At Hotel Rocca Mar there is an internet PC (for a fee), two bars, a panoramic restaurant with a terrace where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner al fresco in bright sunshine.

Royal Orchid Aparthotel ****

The comfortable 4-star Royal Orchid hotel with spacious studios is located above a bay, terraced in the rock and offers breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean. The numerous sunbathing areas are spread over the spacious hotel grounds and allow direct access to the sea. Ideal for athletes and active travelers, as the hotel also offers good sports and many opportunities for wellness and relaxation. The hotel offers a restaurant, two bars, heated indoor and outdoor freshwater pools and sun terraces. Beach chairs, umbrellas and bath towels are included.

Villa Ventura ***

The Villa Ventura is a small, cozy, family-run hotel under German management.
The simply and comfortably furnished rooms of the Vila Ventura have a kitchenette, TV, telephone, safe, bath / WC, hairdryer, balcony or terrace. All bathrooms are newly renovated.
The friendly, uncomplicated ambience and the beautiful garden make the Vila Ventura a small idyll, in which it can be wonderfully relaxing and you like to sit together in a cozy atmosphere.

Hotel Sentido Galosol ****

The hotel is set on a rocky plateau directly on the underwater nature park of Caniço de Baixo, with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The complex leaves nothing to be desired, as far as sports and wellness is concerned. Use of the Onda Revital Club fitness center services is included. The rooms are equipped with bath / WC, hairdryer, minibar, safe, TV, telephone, balcony or terrace. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas of the hotel. The sun terrace has a large freshwater pool. On 6 days of the week, the hotel offers a free hotel shuttle to the island's capital, Funchal.

Hotel Inn & Art ***

Is in Caniço de Baixo at 55 meters altitude. From the terrace you have a unique view over the sea. The bright rooms with a terracotta tiled floor have an LCD cable TV, a mini fridge, a safe (extra charge) as well as tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite shower room. WI-FI is available free of charge in the rooms and in all public areas.

Hotel Vila Galé ****

Hotel Vila Galé in Santa Cruz is located directly on the waterfront and offers an incomparable view of the Atlantic. The cosy rooms have a balcony, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, hairdryer, safe and minibar.
The hotel has two restaurants, two bars, an outdoor pool and spa with a heated indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, Turkish bath, fitness area and massage rooms. The hotel offers a free transfer to Funchal.

Estalagem Eira do Serrado ****

The hotel is located in a fascinating mountain landscape and offers a magnificent view of the lush valleys. It is located in the center of the island amidst a gigantic landscape overlooking Curral das Freiras. All rooms are elegantly furnished in warm and bright colors and equipped with balcony (valley view), cable TV, air conditioning / central heating, bathroom with tub and hairdryer and telephone.
The hotel features a sauna, a jacuzzi, a games room, a lounge with sofas, billiards and a fireplace. There is a souvenir shop with typical products from Madeira. The à la carte restaurant offers regional and international dishes. The specialties are meat skewers from the grill.

Estalagem Encumeada ***

The mountain hotel Encumeada is simple but due to its location an ideal place to stay. It is an excellent starting point for hikes in the area. Enjoy the buffet in the evening and the end of a beautiful hiking day with a glass of wine.
The hotel is located in the heart of the island on the Encumeada Pass at 950m.
The rustic rooms of the Estalagem Encumeada are equipped with telephone, TV, heating and balcony with valley view.

Residencial Familia *

Boasting panoramic views of Machico's Bay, Residencial Familia offers rooms with a balcony. A daily local and international breakfast is served each morning in the Residencial Familia's restaurant. Machico Beach is less than a 5-minute walk and Madeira Airport is a 5-minute drive away from Residencial Familia.

O Colmo Hotel ****

The 4-star Hotel O Colmo in Santana is the ideal starting point for mountain hikes to the highest peaks. The Hotel O'Colmo is named after the thatched Madeira cottage in the area (Casas de Colmo). In the nearby village center there are some shops and bars. A small gym, a heated indoor pool, a steam room and a whirlpool invite you to relax. Colmo's restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional dishes.
