We ride along the south coast to the small coastal town of Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz there is a small market for fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. We continue to Machico, where we have some time for a break in the cozy city. Via Caniçal, Madeira's only industrial and fishing port, we ride to the easternmost point of the island, the Ponta de São Lorenço. The Eastern Cape offers a breathtaking view of the wild Atlantic in the north. Back in Machico we have some spare time for a swim in the sea before the transfer bus picks us up and takes us back to Caniço de Baixo.
